Clinical-Grade Hearing Tests Now Accessible with AirPods Pro

In a significant move for audiology accessibility, Apple is also introducing a clinical-grade hearing test, allowing users to assess their hearing health with their AirPods Pro. This feature requires AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods Pro 3, updated to the latest firmware, and paired with an iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 (or later).

Designed with acoustic science, the hearing test mimics the standard clinical approach of pure-tone audiometry. Users can now conveniently conduct this test in the comfort of their own homes. The entire process takes approximately five minutes.

Upon completion, users receive a comprehensive summary of their results.
