Thenubia A75came out in early 2024 – it was an affordable 4G phone. Since then, the company has introduced thenubia A76 4Gand thenubia A77 4G. Now it’s time to say hello to the nubia A76! Wait, what? Okay, this is another case of overlapping names because this A76 and the old A76 are not the same. The newZTE nubia A76 4Gfeatures a 6.75” display – it only has 720p+ resolution and runs at only 90Hz, but it’s better than what the other A76 has (6.5” 720p+ 60Hz). This display promises a modest 500 nits of brightness.

nubia mentions the “flagship-inspired design” for the new phone, which we guess is code for a full-width camera island. You can see the same design on a phone that launched as theBlade A76 4G. In fact, the Blade model appears to have identical specs to this nubia A76, so keep that in mind when we say “new”. Going back to comparing nubia A models, the new A76 boasts a 50MP “triple camera”. We put that in quotes since we don’t know anything about the two other modules. Crucially, the new nubia A76 is powered by an unnamed chipset with an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU. The company advertises 4.5G, though it doesn’t give the exact standard or list upload and download speeds. If you want 5G, maybe have a look at thisnubia A77.

Yet another improvement is charging speed – the battery still has 5,000mAh capacity, but at least now it supports 22.5W charging, up from the glacial 10W that the other A76 supports. And the new model got an A on the EU’s energy efficiency tests, so that’s nice. ZTE nubia A76 4G in: Carbon Black • Polar Grey • Sand Gold
