According to Omdia, vivo led India's smartphone market in 2025, grabbing 21% of the pie with 32.1 million shipments. It was followed by Samsung with 15% and 23 million shipments, Oppo and Xiaomi with 13% each (20 million and 19.7 million shipments, respectively), and Apple with 10% from 15.1 million units shipped.

Compared to 2024, vivo grew 19% in 2025, Oppo grew 10%, Apple grew a whopping 28%, while Samsung fell 11% and Xiaomi shipments declined by 26%. Overall smartphone sales in India in 2025 were 1% lower than in 2024 at 154.2 million units. In the fourth quarter of 2025, vivo shipped 7.9 million smartphones for a 23% market share, Samsung managed 4.9 million shipments with 14% share, Oppo shipped 4.6 million units for a 13% market share, Xiaomi shipped 4.2 million devices grabbing 12% of the pie, and Apple shipped 3.9 million units, resulting in an 11% share. Compared to Q4 2024, vivo grew 16%, Oppo grew 10%, while Samsung shipments fell 11%, Xiaomi's fell 26%, and Apple's fell 1%.

vivo's sales heroes in Q4 2025 in India were theY31 5G,Y19s 5G,T4x 5G, andV60e, while Oppo's A-series drove scale and an increasing share of its K-series volumes shifted into mainline retail. Xiaomi's best sellers were theRedmi 14C 5GandPoco C75. Omdia analysts expect the Indian smartphone market shipments to decline by mid-single-digits (so around 5%) in 2026, due to higher prices and "incremental value delay upgrades". Source
