TCL had an eventful MWC 2026 with several product launches and we are now set to bring you some hands-on coverage of its latest Android tablet. TheTab A1 Plusbrings a 12.2-inch IPS LCD with 1,600 x 2,400 px resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also available in a version with TCL’s NxtPaper tech, which gets the signature matte display coating, which is the one we got to test.

Regular mode features rich and vibrant colors for regular use. Color Paper dials down the saturation for a paper-like color reading experience, while Ink Paper mode goes grayscale for an e-Ink-like experience. The device features a nice metal unibody chassis with a protruding circular camera housing with an 8 MP shooter and an LED flash. There’s also a second 5MP front-facing camera on the front, and the whole device is IP54 dust protected and water resistant. The tablet feels lighter than the listed 542 grams on its spec sheet.
