Realme 16 Pro series gets extended software support in India

The Realme 16 Pro series wasrecently listedon the company’s official European store with longer software support than its Indian counterparts. However, Realme has now announced that it is extending software support for the 16 Pro lineup in India as well. In a post on X, Realme India’s official account confirmed that theRealme 16 Proand16 Pro+will now receive four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches. At launch, the company had promised three years of Android updates and four years of security support.

Since the Realme 16 Pro lineup launched with Android 16 out of the box, the devices are now eligible to receive updates up to Android 20. The phones wereunveiledin India last month with a 7,000mAh battery and a 200MP primary rear camera. Notably, in Europe, the phones will receive 5 years of Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches. Source
