OnePlus 15T Launch Imminent: Early Q2 Debut Expected, Leaks Reveal Key Upgrades

Get ready for the next iteration of OnePlus's popular 'T' series! Industry insider Digital Chat Station has tipped that the highly anticipated OnePlus 15T is slated for a launch in early Q2. This release schedule mirrors that of its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T, which arrived in April of last year.

While details are scarce regarding a global rollout, the initial launch is confirmed for China. This follows a pattern observed with the OnePlus 13T, which saw a near-identical variant, the OnePlus 13s, released in India. The primary distinctions between the 13T and 13s were a slightly smaller 5,850mAh battery in the 13s (compared to 6,260mAh) and a lower-resolution 16MP/1080p selfie camera, whereas the 13T boasted a 32MP/4K sensor. Both models shared a 6.32-inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and dual 50MP rear cameras.

The OnePlus 15T is poised for a significant battery boost, reportedly packing a substantial 7,000mAh battery, with whispers suggesting it could reach an impressive 7,500mAh. Digital Chat Station indicates OnePlus is actively aiming for the higher capacity, potentially hinting at a similar market segmentation strategy seen with the 13T and 13s for Chinese and Indian consumers.

Beyond the power upgrade, expect a refined display experience. The OnePlus 15T is rumored to feature a flat 6.3-inch LTPS OLED panel. This display will boast a sharp 1.5K resolution and an elevated 165Hz refresh rate, a notable step up from the 120Hz LTPO panel found on the 2025 model. Furthermore, the device is expected to integrate an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader for enhanced security and convenience.

Camera specifications are still emerging, but current leaks suggest no radical departures from the existing setup. The telephoto lens is reportedly utilizing the same 50MP JN5 sensor found in the previous model. Information on the main camera sensor remains undisclosed, and there's no indication of a third camera being added to the mix.

The critical question remains: will the OnePlus 15T, or a variant of it, see a wider international release than its predecessor? If it does, it will enter a competitive landscape, likely going head-to-head with devices like the Xiaomi 17 Pro, vivo X300, and the Oppo Find X9s. The iQOO 15 mini might be less of a direct competitor in this scenario.
