Motorola Teases Enhanced Moto X70 Air Pro: What to Expect
Motorola is keeping tech enthusiasts on their toes with a flurry of upcoming device reveals. Following the recent global launch of the Edge 70, which serves as the international counterpart to the X70 Air and emphasizes a sleek, slim design, Motorola is now hinting at an even more powerful iteration: the Moto X70 Air Pro. This move into "Pro" territory, particularly with an "Air" moniker, follows a trend seen with devices from Apple and Samsung, though their market reception has been mixed. Nevertheless, all indicators point towards the imminent arrival of the X70 Air Pro, likely to be branded as the Edge 70 Pro for the global market.
Motorola has officially shared a teaser image for the Moto X70 Air Pro, promising a device that is "more Pro" and infused with enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities. This new model is strongly suspected to be the same XT2603-1 device previously benchmarked, which reportedly supports a robust 90W fast charging capability. This represents a significant upgrade from the 67W maximum charging speed found on the standard X70 Air and Edge 70 models.
Further fueling speculation, a Geekbench listing for the XT2603-1 appeared in November. This, coupled with industry whispers, suggests the new Moto X70 Air Pro could be powered by the forthcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chipset. While we await official confirmation, the performance potential appears considerable.
In parallel, a separate device, tentatively named the Motorola Signature, has been teased on Flipkart. This handset appears to be positioned as a more premium offering, potentially even Motorola's flagship. Rumored specifications for the Motorola Signature include the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, a generous 16GB of RAM, support for Android 16, a vibrant 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K resolution OLED display, and a versatile 50MP rear camera system.
