Get ready for a power surge! Honor has officially unveiled the launch date for its upcoming Honor Power 2, confirming a debut in China on January 5th. But that's not all – the company has also given us a sneak peek at the device's rear design, revealing a striking resemblance to the latest iPhone models and, most notably, a colossal 10,080mAh battery.

In a recent Weibo announcement, Honor not only set the launch date but also showcased the Power 2's distinct rear aesthetic. The camera module, positioned within a rectangular enclosure stretching across the phone's width, features three distinct cutouts, echoing design elements seen in high-end smartphones. Fans will also be pleased to know the Power 2 will come in a vibrant Rising Sun orange, a color reminiscent of popular iPhone offerings, alongside classic Magic Night black and pristine Snow white.

Beyond its striking looks, the Honor Power 2 is set to pack a serious punch in terms of performance and storage. The device will be available in generous configurations of 12GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage, and an even more capacious 12GB RAM with 512GB storage option. Powering this beast will be the robust MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, promising smooth multitasking and demanding gaming experiences.

Early rumors and leaks suggest the Honor Power 2 will also boast impressive photographic capabilities, with a 50MP main rear camera leading the charge.
