Honor Magic V6 Battery & Satellite Specs Revealed: Two Flavors Emerge

Leaked screenshots have pulled back the curtain on two distinct versions of the upcoming Honor Magic V6, revealing significant differences in battery capacity and charging speeds. While both models are poised to offer a premium foldable experience, one variant stands out with a truly massive battery.

Satellite Connectivity Fuels Bigger Battery in Honor Magic V6

The higher-end Honor Magic V6, identified by the model number PNM-AN20, will boast an impressive BeiDou satellite messaging capability. This advanced feature is paired with a colossal 7,150mAh battery – a new benchmark for foldable phones. Complementing this power source is blazing-fast 120W wired charging, a speed matched by very few other devices on the market.

In contrast, the Honor Magic V6 model PNM-AN10 will omit the satellite connectivity. This version will feature a still substantial, but smaller, 6,850mAh battery. While it won't match the top-tier model's charging prowess, it will still support a rapid 80W wired charging.

For context, the previous Honor Magic V5 offered a 5,820mAh battery in its international variant and a 6,100mAh battery in its Chinese version, both supporting 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Honor Magic V6 Storage and Internal Tech

The satellite-enabled PNM-AN20 is slated to come in configurations of 12GB RAM/256GB storage and 16GB RAM/1TB storage. The PNM-AN10, identified with a 16GB RAM/512GB storage option, is also expected to offer a base 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant.

Further details gleaned from the leaks highlight the integration of Honor's in-house developed C1+ wireless chip and E2 power management chip. As anticipated, the Honor Magic V6 will be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and is rumored to feature a powerful 200MP main camera.

Honor has officially confirmed that the Honor Magic V6 will be showcased at MWC. The company also teased their "Robot Phone" which will be present, promising a more functional iteration than seen previously. The Magic V6 was recently spotted in the wild during the Winter Olympics, being used by gold medalist Xu Mengtao, further fueling anticipation for its official launch.
